Our Mission: Improving the quality of life for people of all ages through the therapeutic benefits of companion animals.

  • 185+ volunteers making a difference
  • 30 years serving Colorado communities since 1993
  • 45+ agency locations across the Front Range

HABIC trains volunteer animal therapy teams who subsequently help build trust, strengthen relationships, and facilitate the therapeutic process in hospitals, schools, assisted living facilities, and more places in local communities.

HABIC offers courses and certificates through Colorado State University for the purpose of allowing working professionals to value the science behind human-animal interactions and consequently use human-animal bond to help populations they serve.

It’s important to realize that research leads to results. As a nonprofit center in Colorado State University’s School of Social Work, HABIC supports research studies to explore outcomes of human-animal interactions for human health and wellbeing.
